Jennifer DeLugach, RN, PCD(DONA), CLEC
Jennifer is a nurturing caregiver with a passion for helping families during the childbearing year. She is a postpartum doula certified in 2018 through DONA International, PCD(DONA); a certified lactation educator counselor, CLEC, through UCSD since 2011; and a RN, licensed since 1999 with experience as a postpartum and well-baby nurse, childbirth educator, and midwife’s assistant. She is also the mother of 3 teenagers. Jennifer has a bachelor of science in Biological Sciences from UC Davis and she completed her prelicensure nursing education at UCSF. She was an ICEA certified childbirth educator until 2006. In 2017 she started her business serving families as a postpartum doula. Jennifer thoroughly enjoys postpartum doula work supporting family members with diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, parenting styles, and breastfeeding goals as they connect and bond with their new babies and with each other during this special and sensitive time. Jennifer recognizes the challenges new parents face when receiving conflicting advice from family, friends, health care providers, and others. She believes the doula's role in providing nonjudgmental support to parents is unique, beneficial, and respectful. While there is no way to be a perfect parent, there are multiple effective and enjoyable parenting paths. Jennifer prefers to work days, but also works overnight. She is honored to provide in-home postpartum care including feeding support (breast, bottle, pumping, or combo), practical household help, a listening ear with an open heart, and current resources and information.
