Birth Doula in Training
***Please note that as of September 2020 I am now a Certified Birth Doula (DONA).***
Hello my name is Allie and I want to start off by saying CONGRATULATIONS on your pregnancy! This is such an incredible time in a woman’s life and I am so excited for you!!! I am the mother of 3 amazing kiddos and the wife of my high school sweetheart! I am passionate about my family, my friends, and serving those around me.
Birth became a passion of mine after my experience with the birth of my first child. This birth was quite traumatic and after 47.5 hours of labor, it ended with a cesarean. (Although she did not come out as I had planned, she was and still is an absolutely beautiful and healthy girl.) I didn’t realize until I was living it, how important a woman’s birth story is… It’s a story we carry with us for the rest of our lives. It’s during this time that we realize this inner strength we never knew existed, we see how far we are truly capable of going, and we remember the team that was around us that day!
When we became pregnant with our second I was determined to find “my team”. I wanted a team of people who believed in me, encouraged me, and would stick by me through EVERYTHING, and that is exactly what I found, which I believe was a HUGE contributing factor for me to experience two amazing homebirths after my cesarean. Your birth story matters! Your team of people matter!
After enjoying being a stay at home mom for the past 8 years, I decided to pursue my passion and become a certified birth doula through DONA international. It is my goal to empower you and help you achieve the birth experience you desire while being a part of “your team” of people who truly believe in you.
